The vineyard is located in the mountains of upper Carmel Valley in California, 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard is currently limited to 28 acres of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Our soils are mostly sand clay with gravel and river rocks. Some small sections of our vineyard do include some chalky soils.

The microclimate during the summer consists of warm days reaching the 90s, with cool nights in the 50s. This extreme range in temperature extends our growing season. Harvest usually occurs the first week in October.

Planting practices and spacing very greatly within the different sections of our vineyards. The carefull attention to these unique attributes are what influences the character and quality of our world class Merlot and Cabernet.
