The vineyard is located in the mountains of upper Carmel Valley in California, 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard is made up of 28 acres of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Our soils are mostly sand clay with gravel and river rocks. Some small sections of our vineyard do include some chalky soils. Planting practices, which we strive to be as sustainable as possible and spacing each vine vary greatly within the different sections of our vineyards. The careful attention to these unique attributes is what influences the character and quality of our world class wines.
