The Georis Estate Merlot 2000 is among the greatest vintages produced on the Georis property. 2000 was a generous year in the vineyard. Our Merlot grapes attained optimum ripeness to produce a remarkable wine with a complex nose and a vibrant mouthfeel. The initial flavor profile is of plum, black olive, cigar box and rose petal. As it opens up, layers of black cherry, cedar and truffle appear. The entry is full and lively. The middle brings back the signature imprint of the Georis terroir - earth, forest floor, spices and dried herbs – and so does the dry and chalky finish.

Years of aging have passed and the tannic balance is still robust yet perfectly harmonious, making this Georis 2000 Merlot a testimony to the great aging potential of the Georis estate wines.
